TERMS OF USAGE
Your use of Utopia Connect Foundation’s website and its services, is subject to this Privacy Policy as well as our Terms of Usage and Agreement and all of its general provisions including media waivers, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, indemnity and choice of law. We reserve the right to make updates to this terms of usage & agreement and our privacy policy to reflect changes to how we handle and store information as well as to how we strategically choose to do business. We will update this posting any time changes are made and encourage you to re-visit this policy periodically for updates. These updates will also be captured for 30-days under our “News Section and Updates” of the website as due and acceptable communication to our users.
 
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO REPORT SCAMS OR OTHER SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR OR ACTIVITY?
Our goal is to promote safety, wellness, and growth within communities and anything that distracts from it and that you suspect might be happening on this website or falsely pitched as our services should be reported. If you receive an email, letter, newsletter from anyone other than an official Utopia Connect Foundation member or staff asking for either personal information such as your full name, social security number or address; a check, money order, wire transfer, cash or financial information; or representations of program or project offerings that may resemble what is listed and verified by Utopia Connect Foundation, please help us by reporting this as suspicious activity. I THINK I KNOW THE ANSWER BUT SHOULD I REFRAIN FROM HARRASSMENT, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, BULLYING, SOLICITATION, FOUL LANGUAGE, AND ACTS OF VIOLENCE TOWARDS OTHERS?
You agree to refrain from all acts that can be construed as racist, bullying, harassing, and/or violent towards others. The Utopia Connect Foundation believes in and practices respect and tolerance for all ethnicities, religions, cultural practices, and sexual preferences. We do not discriminate against the impaired or disabled and we hold our users to the same high expectations for continued use of our site. At no time at all should you ever solicit others to give you or someone else money, sex, or other possessions while using the uptopiaconnectfoundation.org website. We give you the liberty to report any such acts to us at: support@ucfound.org and especially when it involves a minor. You may also report suspicious activities to:

WHAT ARE YOUR COMMUNICATION AND SUBSCRIPTION PRACTICES?
By registering with the Utopia Connect Foundation Website, we may request the use of your postal address, email address or home/mobile phone number to send you promotional content via email or SMS. If at any time you do not wish to receive our promotional content, please follow the unsubscribe instructions or “STOP” instructions contained within the communication. We will cease to send you future communication by removing you from our mailing list within 30-days from the date of your request.
 
WHAT ARE YOUR MEDIA PRACTICES AND POLICIES?
UCF will never use non-intellectual property and represent it as its own. If work is being displayed or used on our website we have either: 1. Received written consent or agreement from the owner or artist to use that work or 2. We have purchased that work from the owner for the website’s sole usage. We encourage your connection with us on social media and want you to know that we value your patronage. 
 
WHAT TERMS AND CONDITIONS AM I AGREEING TO?

utopiaconnectfoundation.org is owned and operated in Chicago, Illinois by a non-profit organization, The Utopia Connect Foundation (UCF), herein after known as one and the same.  The Utopia Connect Foundation knows that safety and privacy is of paramount importance and we are committed to taking every precaution to protecting the information that you share with us and thank you for putting your trust in us to honor and respect that privacy. To better protect you and assure you of the steps we have taken to deliver on your privacy expectations, we provide you with this Privacy Policy that explains our practices, but more so, it gives you the choice in determining if our services and approach is right for you. This policy fully explains the way your information is collected and used by The Utopia Connect Foundation, both online and offline. We want you to know that as you visit and use the utopiaconnectfoundation.org website and services; and should you share information with us, you are agreeing to, and accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notification.

We do not share information such as email addresses, phone numbers, with outside parties unless it is for the intended services that you have expressly asked us to carry out on your behalf. We will never sell or disclose your information or information you share about another person with any outside parties unless it is meant to help us to deliver your specific services and we will only do so ethically and securely. We will never rent, sell, or share your information with any outside party for monetary gain or for any other advancements. If UCF were ever to change the way personal information is collected and used, it will take all measures to inform its customers in writing and will be sure to update its website’s “News Section and Updates” for a period of 30-days, emphasizing its new process.

You may provide us with personal information such as your name, address, email address, telephone number and/or credit/debit card information, when you visit our website or make a donation online or offline. All of this information is collected on an individual basis for a select purpose/s and is knowingly disclosed by you. These purposes may include registering to receive email newsletters or other materials, requesting further information from us about projects and services, donating to us, ordering merchandise, making requests, submitting a form on our website, or simply asking a question. We ask for personal information so that we can meet the service agreement you requested and/or return your message. This information is stored and used in accordance with existing regulations, laws, rules, and other policies instituted by The Utopia Connect Foundation.  You can visit our website without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, if you choose not to provide any of this information, we may not be able to meet your request or complete your order if requested.

Your personal information is only accessed by Utopia Connect Foundation and is NEVER publicly accessible as it is stored on our server (wix.com). Additionally, your data such as credit card numbers are considered as sensitive information and are encrypted using SSL and other updated industry standard measures, to ensure additional levels of security. 
 
HOW DO I MAKE PERSONAL UPDATES, VERIFY INFORMATION, OR OPT OUT OF SERVICES?

If you change your mind, you may contact us to have your name and contact information removed from our distribution lists. Here is how you can opt out. In 30-days or less you will stop receiving our newsletter or emails after you unsubscribe our elect to opt out to receive communication from us.
 
DO YOU COLLECT ANONYMOUS INFORMATION?
Yes, anonymous information is collected for visitors, program applicants, and donors to this site. The information collected includes browser type, pages viewed, and date and time.  We do not store IP numbers but temporarily use them to determine domain type. This information is only stored to track the effectiveness of our website and we rely on wix.com for its services in order to fully operate our website. The Utopia Connect Foundation publishes an e-newsletter that is sent to patrons periodically. It is distributed by email and you may subscribe to or unsubscribe from the email listserv at any time. In addition, we send email notifications and reminders as an alert to the work we are doing within communities or to share the impact we are making. If you apply to a program or to become a part of a project we are hosting, we may also contact you by phone. By subscribing to these services you provide The Utopia Connect Foundation the authorization to contact you via email or by phone and should you elect to discontinue such services, you will unsubscribe. Please follow the unsubscribe instructions or “STOP” instructions contained within the communication. We will cease to send you future communication by removing you from our mailing list within 30-days from the date of your request. DO YOU HOST CONTESTS ON YOUR SITE AND HOW ARE THEY GENERALLY HANDLED?
Periodically, we may host various contests that provide you the opportunity to participate and will require some personal information from you in order to become a contestant. Please note: This is a completely voluntary act and the choice is yours to make. You do not need to disclose any information but by choosing not to provide the necessary required information and per the contest rules, it may determine if you are a valid contestant or disqualify your entry.
